  3. I barely do any work at my job on a day-to-day basis - what should I do?

I’m a little over a year into my entry-level job as a Data Quality Analyst at a small firm, and it’s gotten to a place where I am barely doing any work on a day to day basis. Normally, I am the person who designs and executes test plans for new software code implementations, but it’s been really quiet on an engineering front. I monitor emails and try to take online courses that improve my skills in Excel and SQL.

I’ve asked my co-workers, we are a small team of eight people, if they need any help or assistance, but they couldn’t offer me anything. I haven’t asked my manager yet because I feel like it will look bad if I am asking for work, and the last thing we need is another problem on our hands.

Is there anything I should do in the meantime or should I just keep learning? Is this something I should address to my manager?
