  3. Job searching pre paternity leave?

Hi all,
I work for a local nonprofit in membership sales. The pandemic has not treated us great and with a staff of 5 people we are all overworked and burned out. While I want to transition out of sales completely, I feel like I am at a weird point.
My wife is scheduled to give birth to our first child in mid July. So I’m at the point of applying to other jobs and noting that. I don’t know if it would be weird to start a job ( assuming I would even be hired, no responses yet) for a month then take a paternity leave.
Should I just wait it out in my current job even knowing my soul is crushed and I’ve been wanting to leave pre-pandemic?
